Before selling your phone, it is essential to turn off Find My iPhone from your iCloud account.

(if your iPhone is not broken and you can access settings)
- Go to Settings
- Go to Apple ID
- Then tap iCloud
- Tap on “sign out” and follow the prompts.

(if your iPhone is broken or you don’t have access to it)
- Sign in to iCloud.com on your web browser. We recommend using a desktop browser.
- Find the device you're trading in and select erase.
- Once erased, select Remove from Account.
